welcome to
bettina's world
“The abundance and abandonment of urban waste and our materialism and obsession for all things new in our society is of great concern to me. For me, as an artist, I feel bound to try and find unique ways of using and transforming this waste material.” Bettina Meyler, a Fine Art (hons) degree mixed media artist, based in Wexford, originally hails from South Africa. Bettina works with a vast range of media, some of which include wire, textiles, papers, metals, inks, dyes, and recycled found objects. She also incorporates photography and collage, painting, and various mark making techniques when creating her art. She is drawn to themes of identity, marginalised societies and issues associated with class and culture.
